Swan pollution

The thing I wonder most about birds is if they know that all the buildings they navigate around, the powerlines they perch on and smog they fly through isn’t natural, it isn’t meant to be there. They spend their lives in our pollution, I wonder if there is some deep instinct that tells them this should not to be here.
